Compulsory education - Compulsory education is education which is required by the government, usually at the national level. Many of the world's countries now have compulsory education through at least the primary grades.
Catalan education system - The actual Catalan education system (according to the LOGSE) are classified like this: general regime (children's education (educació infantil), primary education (educació primà ria), secondary compulsory education (ESO), batxillerat, formació professional de grau mitjà i de grau superior (technical college) and special regime (artistic studies and language studies). Education is compulsory between six and sixteen years.
